Biblical Truth: David saw God’s deliverance not only by saving him from trouble but also by strengthening his hands in his conquest of his enemies. He saw God as training him for war, making him strong enough to bend a bronze bow and equipping him for battle.
Personal Application: When we ask God to deliver us from our troubles, we often view it as he would miraculously remove our trouble. But God’s deliverance may be the conquest of our enemies. He will prepare us, equip us to become stronger to fight against our troubles and make us victorious.
