[:en]Thoughts from 1 Samuel 18[:]

[:en]God blessed David in all his endeavors with success.  When David returned home with Saul from fighting with the Philistines, the women sang: “Saul has slain his thousands and David his tens of thousands” (v. 7)  Saul got furious and jealous.  He because suspicious and afraid.  Hate had embedded into his mind to the point of wanting him dead.  In an attempt to have him killed by the Philistines, he offered him his daughter in exchange for 100 Philistines foreskins.  But the Lord was with David.  He went out and killed 200 Philistines and became the king’s son-in-law.   Saul became more afraid of him and he remained his enemy the rest of his days (vs. 24-29)

“In everything he did, he had great success because the Lord was with him” (v. 14).

*You will be successful if the Lord is with you*[:]
