[:en]Thoughts from 2 Samuel 21[:]

[:en]There was a famine for 3 successive years during the reign of David.  When he sought the Lord, the Lord told him that was because of Saul’s bloodstained by putting the Gibeonites to death.  He did not honor the treaty of peace sworn by Joshua with the Gibeonites. (Johua 9:15),  So David corrected the mistake by avenging for the Gibeonites.

David was a man who kept his promises to Mephiboseth (2 Sam. 9:7), to Jonathan (1 Sam. 20:15-16) and to Saul’s family by giving them a decent burial.

*Are you a Saul who broke promises or a David who kept promises?*[:]
