[:en]Thoughts from Judges 17[:]

[:en]Micah’s family was devoted to idolatry.  He installed his sons as priests.  The mother spoke curses and blessings and told his son to make a carved image and a cast idol. (vs. 1-4).  The young Levite was more guilty then they were.  He was a hireling instead of a God’s servant.  He took the better offer from Micah to become his priest.

*This is an example of “Self-Made” religion.  Today, there are many such kinds of religion.  Remember:  “If they do not speak according to His Word, they have no light of dawn” (Isa. 8:20)*[:]
