[:en]Thoughts from “Light to My Path” (4/21/17)[:]

[:en]Scripture Reading:  John 21:20-25

Biblical Truth:  When Jesus told Peter:  “When you were younger, you used to gird yourself and walk wherever you wished, but when you grow old, you will stretch out your hands and someone else will gird you and bring you where you do not wish to go” (v. 20)  Peter turning around saw John and asked:  “Lord, and what about this man?”  (v. 21).  Jesus answered him:  “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? (v. 22)  Jesus told him not to look at others but only to follow Him. (v. 22)

Personal Application:  Do not make any comparison with fellow believers.  Just follow God’s leading and listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit.

Prayer:  Lord, let me fix my eyes on you alone without looking at others.[:]
