[:en]Scripture Reading:  Romans 7:14-25

Biblical Truth:  Paul was explaining to the Jews why the Law though God-given was ineffective.  Only Christians who have died to sin and separate from its power can be victorious.

Personal Application:  We are powerless to resist our lower nature- the prisoner of old self.  Only a new heart and a new Spirit provided by the Lord can change us.

Prayer:  “Create in me a pure heart, O God and renew a steadfast spirit within me” (Ps. 51:10)[:]
