[:en]The Significance of a TREE in the Bible:
- The first tree was where the forbidden fruit was hung ( Gen. 2:9).
- Serpent, the Satan was on a tree when he tempted Eve (Gen 3:3)
- Eve fall into sin by eating the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge and Evil (Gen. 32:6)
- When Adam and Eve heard God’s sound, they hid among the trees of the garden (Gen. 3:8)
- A man of godly life is like a tree planted by the stream of water yielding its fruits in season (Psalms 1:3, Jer. 17:8)
- Wisdom is being described as a tree of life (Proverbs 3:18)
- The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life (Prov. 11:30)
- Jesus was hung on a tree (Acts 5:30)
- Even the trees of the field know the Lord (Eze. 17:24)
- There is always hope for a tree because even if being cut down, it will sprout and grow again (Job 14:7)
- When Elijah fled to Horeb discouraged and exhausted, he sat down under a broom tree and an angel touched him and told him to arise and eat (1 Kings 19:5)
- When Moses led the Israelites from the Red Sea and went into the Desert of Shen without any water, the Lord told Moses to throw a piece of wood into the water and the water became sweet (Exo. 15:25)
- Daniel saw a vision of a tree growing and becoming strong with beautiful leaves and abundant fruits offering shade to the beast of the field and birds of the heavens (Daniel 4:10-12)
- To the churches who overcome will be granted the privilege to eat of the tree of life (Rev. 2:7)

Jesus suffered a horrible death on a cross. That is the tree of life for us. It stands as a symbol of love, sacrifice and salvation. As we see a tree, may we be reminded of His love and be grateful to Him.[:]
