[:en]Thoughts from 1 Kings 17[:]

[:en]Elijah appeared before Ahab and declared God’s message of “drought” which was an insult to the storm god “Baal”.  God provided Elijah with brook to drink and ravens that brought bread and meat to feed him.  When the brook dried up, God told him to go to stay at Zarephath of Sidon.  He commanded a widow there to supply him with food.  The Lord also supplied the widow and her family sufficient flour and oil.  Later, the son of the woman who owned the house where Elijah stayed stopped breathing. Elijah prayed to God and the boy’s life returned to him.

*God will supply  our needs when we walk by faith*[:]
