[:en]Thoughts from 1 Kings 12[:]

[:en]When Rehoboam became king of Israel, the people came to him and petitioned for reduction of harsh labor and heavy yoke.  Rehoboam had 2 sets of advisers:  One group of elders who had served his father advised him to give them a favorable answer so that the people will serve him and always be his servants.  The other group was a group of young men who had grown up with him advised him to give them a heavier yoke than that of his father.  Rehoboam ignored the elder’s advice and listened to the young men’s advice.  As a result the kingdom was divided.  Ten tribes separated from him while only the tribe of Judah and Benjamin remained with him.

*Be careful to choose your adviser because their advices will either make you or break you*[:]
