[:en]Successors of Rehoboam: (King of Judah)

  1.  Abijah – son of Rehoboam – reigned in Jerusalem for 3 years – did evil in the eyes of the Lord
  2. Asa – son of Abijah -o reigned in Jerussalem for 41 years – was right in the eyes of God.

Successsors of Jeroboam: (King of Israel)

  1.  Nadab – son of Jeroboam – reigned for 2 years – did evil in the eyes of the Lord
  2. Baasha – son of Ahijah – killed Nadab and the whole family of Jeroboam – reigned for 24 years – did evil in the eyes of the Lord
  3. Elah – son of Baasha – reigned in Tirzah for 2 years – did evil in the eyes of the Lord  – was killed by Zimri, one of his officials
  4. Zimri – one of Elah’s official who killed Elah and Baasha’s whole family – reigned in Tirzah for 7 days – was overthrown by Omri and all the Israelites – he set fire on the palace and died
  5. Omri – commander of the Israel army proclaimed by the people of Israel as king.  But the Israelites were split into 2 factions.  Half supported Tibni and other half support him.  But Omri was stronger, so Tibni died.  – reigned for 12 years – did evil in the eyes of the Lord
  6. Ahab – son of Omri – reigned in Samaria for 22 years – he married Jezebel, daughter of Ethbaal, king of the Sidonians and began to worship and serve Baal, the Canaanite storm god – did evil in the eyes of the Lord and provoke Him greatly.
