[:en]Thoughts from 1 Kings 19[:]

[:en]After challenging the prophets of Baal at the Mount of Carmel, Elijah commanded the people to seize and killed them.  Jezebel threatened to kill Elijah, so Elijah fled and ran for his life into the desert.  He was so discouraged and asked God to take his life.  But an angel of the Lord touched him and told him to get out and eat.  He traveled 40 days and 40 nights until he reached Mt. Horeb.  Then the Lord appeared to him and told him to go to the Desert of Damascus.  He was to anoint Hazael as king over Aram, Jehu, king over Israel and Elisha to succeed him as prophet.[:]
