[:en]Thoughts from 2 Kings 2[:]

[:en]While Elijah and Elisha were on their way from Gilgal, Elijah told Elisha to stay but Elisha refused.  Elijah asked Elisha:  “Tell me what can I do for you before I am taken from you?”  Elisha replied”  “Let me inherit a double portion of your spirit”.   Elijah answered:  “If you see me when I am taken from you, it will be yours, otherwise, not” (vs.9-10)  Suddenly, a chariot of fire and horse of fire appeared and separated them.  Elijah went up to heaven in a whirlwind and Elisha saw it.

Elisha healed water of city by putting salt in it.   While he was walking along the road to Bethel, some youth jeered at him and called him “bald head”.  He looked at them and called down a curse on them in the name of the Lord.  Then two bears came out of the woods and mauled 42 of the youths.  (vs. 23-25)[:]
