[:en]Moab had to supply Israel with a hundred thousand lambs and wool of a hundred thousand ram. But after King Ahab died, Mesha, the king of Moab rebelled against Joram. So Joram asked Jehoshaphat, king of Judah and king of Edom to join forces with him against Moab. They inquired from Elisha and was assured of victory. When the king of Moab saw that the battle was against him, he took his firstborn son and offered him as a sacrifice on the city wall. (vs. 26-27)[:]
