[:en]There was war between Abijah, king of Judah  and Jeroboam, king of Israel.  Abijah had 400k able fighting men while Jeroboam had 800k able troops.  But the Lord was with Abijah because they had not forsaken Him.  So God routed jeroboam and all Israel before Abijah and Judah.  The Israelites fled before Judah and God delivered them into the hands of Abijah (v. 15-16).  The men of Israel were subdued and the men of Judah were victorious because they relied on the Lord.  And the Lord struck down Jeroboam and he died.[:]
