[:en]Job affirmed that God is just, but he stood firm that he was blameless and therefore why should he be condemned by God. He felt he was helpless because:
- he cannot contend with God as God is wise and powerful.
- he cannot answer God since God is the judge, he cannot argue with Him
- he cannot understand God with the question: Why God allow him to be born yet turned away from him to suffer and be carried to the grave.
What Job needed was a mediator: “If only there were someone to arbitrate between us” (v. 33)
