[:en]Thoughts from John 20[:]

[:en]Mary Magdalen went to the tomb on the first day of the week and saw that the stone had been removed.  She reported it to Peter and other disciples.  So the disciples went to see and found the empty tomb with strips of linen and burial cloth.

Jesus appeared to Mary Magdalene and she told the disciples:  “I have seen the Lord” (v. 18).  In the evening, Jesus appeared to the disciples saying:  “Peace be with you”, as the Father has sent me, I am sending you and be breathed on them and said:  “Receive the Holy Spirit” (vs. 19, 21)

Thomas was not with the disciples when Jesus appeared.  He would not believe unless he could see the nail marks in his and and put his finger where the nails where and put his hand into his side.  So a week later, Jesus appeared to Thomas and said:  “Put your fingers here, see my hands.  Reach out your hand and put it into my side.  Stop doubting and believe!”  Thomas said to him:  “My Lord and my God!” (vs. 27-28)[:]
