[:en]Thoughts from Job 42[:]

[:en]Job finally replied to God”  “I know that you can do all things.  No plans of yours can be thwarted.  Surely, I spoke of things I did not understand, things too wonderful for me to know” (vs 2-3).  “My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you.  Therefore I despise myself and repent in dust and ashes” (vs. 5-6)

God was pleased with Job because he maintained his faith during trials.  God called him “My servant” 4 times from verses 7-8.  He acted as an intercessor for his friends by praying for them. (vs. 8-10).  And God blessed his life more than the first.  He received friends, family, wealth and honor twice as much as he had before.  Job lived 140 days and saw his children and their children to the fourth generations.

God promised to receive all who remain faithful to Him.  Trust God and follow His will.[:]
