[:en]Scripture Reading:  Matthew 9:9-13

Biblical Truth:  The Jews despised tax collectors because they work for the Romans and many of them made a living by charging higher taxes than required and keeping the extra for themselves.  So when Jesus called Matthew, a tax collector, they criticized him for associating with sinners.  But Jesus said: “It is not the healthy who need a doctor, but the sick.  I have not come to call the righteous but sinners” (Mat. 9:12-13)

Personal Application.  The unreached people need to be evangelized.  Missions must focus on where the need is greatest.  Bring the message of salvation to those who need it most.

Prayer:  Dear Lord, please give me the courage and opportunity to share your Gospel with our own family and across the world.[:]
