[:en]Thoughts from “Light to My Path” (7/03/17)[:]

[:en]Scripture Reading:  Matthew 5:13-16

Biblical Truth:  Jesus said:  “You are the salt of the earth.  But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?  It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled by men” (Mat. 5:13)  Salt is used for flavoring food, preserving meat, healing, cleaning and purifying.  It becomes worthless and useless if it loses its saltiness.   Jesus said:  “You are the light of the world”.  (Mat. 5:14).  “Let your light shine before men that they may see your good deeds and praise your father in heaven. (Mat. 5:14, 16).   Jesus is the light who blesses those in darkness with hope, joy and salvation (Isa. 9:2).

Personal Application:  Let us be the salt of the earth by exhibiting godly qualities to have positive influence on people.  Let us be the light of the world by bringing the light of salvation to the world.  Let us do good deeds and show love to touch the lives of others.

Prayer:  Lord, help us to be useful Christians by shinning for you.[:]
