[:en]When Job was suffering, his three friends came. but instead of comforting him, they falsely accused him.
When Jesus was about to be crucified, he took time to comfort his disciples. He promised them:
- To prepare a place for them and come back to take them home (John 14:3)
- To do whatever they ask in His name (vs. 13)
- To send another Counselor – the Spirit of truth to be with them forever (v. 16)
- Not to leave them as orphans but will come to them (v. 18)
- To leave peace with them (v. 27)
- To be with them always to the very end of the age (Mat. 28:20
May we follow Christ’s example to walk slowly with those in pain and choose our words wisely when talking to a hurting friend.[:]
