[:en]Thoughts from Psalm 10[:]

[:en]This is the time when the Psalmist felt that God seemed so far away.  He asked:

Why do the wicked so powerful and prosperous?

a)-In arrogance they persecuted the powerless (v. 2)

b)-They boast that they could do whatever they want to do (v. 3)

c)-They said there is no God (v. 4)

d)-They thoughts nothing will shake them and they will be happy and never

have trouble (v. 6)

e)-They thought God did not see what they were doing (v. 11)

f)-Their mouths were full of  curses, lies and threats (v. 7)

g)-They murdered the innocent and helpless and crushed their victims (vs.

8-9)

Does God do nothing?

a)-Why, O Lord, do you stand far off?  Why do you hide yourself in times of

trouble?

b)-Won’t you account those wicked men who reviled you?  (v. 13)

THE ANSWER:

  1. “O God, you do see the trouble and grief of the fatherless” (v. 14)
  2. “You do hear the desire of the afflicted” (v. 17)

God will answer our prayers.  His delays are not denials.  Do not give up faith when new problems come our way.  Pray to God to give us the strength to trust in the Almighty and merciful God during time of trials.
