[:en]Thoughts from Acts 12[:]

[:en]King Herod put to death James, the brother of John.  He seized Peter and put him in prison.  But the angel of the Lord miraculously led him out from prison.

Meanwhile, when King Herod went from Judea to Caesarea and delivered a public address to the people, the people considered him as a  voice from god King Herod did not give praise to God,so an angel of the Lord struck him down, and he was eaten by worms and died. (vs. 19-23)   Paul and Barnabas continued their mission and returned from Jerusalem taking John (also called Mark) with them. (v. 25)

God allowed Peter to be imprisoned but delivered him on the last minute.  He allowed King Herod to slay James but He did not permit him to became like god.

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways.  As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts” (Isa. 55:8-9)[:]
