[:en]Thoughts from “Our Daily Bread” (8/15/17)[:]

[:en]Florence Martus was called “The Waving Girl” in Savannah, Georgia because she used to greet ships from around the world by waving a handkerchief by day or a lantern by night.  Today, a statue of Florence and her faithful dog stands in Savannah’s Morrell Park permanently welcoming the incoming vessels.

Paul urged his readers in Romans 15:7 to accept one another, just as Christ accepted them.  He challenge them to live in harmony with one another and to have a spirit of unity towards each other as they follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth, they may glorify God” (Rom. 15:5-6)

May we reflect the love of our Father by accepting fellow believers in Christ and welcome them to the family of God.[:]
