[:en]Thoughts from “Our Daily Bread” (8/18/17)[:]

[:en]Paul wrote to the Christians in Philippi saying: “Value others above yourselves not looking to your own interest but each of you to the interests of the others” (Phil. 2:3-4)  He cited Jesus as the great example of a selfless person focus on others “when he by the nature of God made himself nothing…humbled himself by becoming obedient to death even death on a cross (Phil. 2:5-8).  Jesus gave his life to rescue us from the tyranny of sin.

As followers of Christ, we are challenged to respond to the needs of others and to show love and care for one another.[:]
