[:en]Thoughts from Psalm 102[:]

[:en]The Psalmist wrote this psalm when he was in trouble and crying for help to the Lord.  He was comparing himself to a lonely bird:  “I am like a desert owl and like an owl among the ruins.  I lie awake; I have become like a bird alone on a roof” (vs. 6-7)  His enemies were taunting him (v. 8) but he acknowledged that God has the power to change his circumstances (vs. 12-22).  He knew that everything in this world will perish but God will remain the same. (vs. 25-26)

In your days of trouble, turn to God in prayer.  Build you life in the Lord, who is changeless and eternal.[:]
