[:en]This is a unique Psalm where we hear God the Father speaking to His Son. It is being quoted by Jesus (Mat. 22:44), Peter (Acts 2:35) and the writer of Hebrews. God the Father described His Son as:
- The Lord – “The Lord says to my Lord” (v. 1)
- The King – “You will rule in the midst of your enemies” (v. 2)
- The Priest – “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek” (v. 4)
- The Judge – he will judge the nations” (v. 6)
Jesus is our Lord and Savior. He is the King of Kings now seated in glory with authority. He is the Priest who intercedes for us. He is the Judge who will be coming to judge the world.[:]
