[:en]Thoughts from Psalm 51[:]

[:en]This is a Psalm of David when Prophet Nathan came to convict his sin of adultery with Bathsheba.

David’s pleaded to God and said:

  1. “Have mercy on me, O God, according to your unfailing love, according to your great compassion blot out my transgressions.  (v. 1) .
  2. “Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin” (v. 2)
  3. “Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow
  4. “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me” (v. 10)
  5. “Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me” (v. 11)
  6. “Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me” (v. 12)
  7. “Save me from blood guilt, O God, the God who saves me” (v. 14)
  8. “Open my lips and my mouth to declare your praise” (v. 15)

“The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise” (v. 17)

Is your conscience clear?  Do you have hidden sins?  Confess it to the Lord.  Meditate on His Word.  Walk in obedience to His command. Guard your heart against temptation and stay in fellowship with Him.[:]
