[:en]Questions of Asaph:
- “Will the Lord reject forever? Will he never show his favor again? (v. 7)
- “Has his unfailing love vanished forever? Has his promise failed for all time? (v. 8)
- “Has God forgotten to be merciful? Has he in anger withheld his compassion?” (v. 9?
What Asap will do:
- “I will remember the deeds of the Lord, yes, I will remember your miracles of long ago” (v. 11)
- “I will meditate on all your works and consider all your mighty deeds” (v. 12)
At the close of his discouragement, he came to 3 wonderful conclusions:
- “Your ways, O God, are holy, What god is so great as our God?” (v. 13)
- “You are the God who performs miracles; you display your power among the peoples” (v. 14)
- “With your mighty arm you redeemed your people, the descendants of Jacob and Joseph” (v. 15)
God controls the waters, the clouds, the skies, the thunder, the lightning and the earth. (vs. 16-19). He led His people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron. (v. 20).
So, if you are in the midst of discouragement, do not be afraid to be open and honest with God. Bring your questions and come to Him in prayer. He will open up the sea for you to walk through.
