[:en]Thoughts from Psalm 36[:]

[:en]The Psalmist gave us a contrast of 2 ways:  the ways of the ungodly and the ways of God

The ways of the ungodly – (vs. 1-4)

1.  He thinks so highly of himself
2. He does not fear God.
3. He speaks what is deceitful.
4. He plots evil and commits sinful acts

The ways of God –  (vs. 5-9)

1. His unfailing love reaches to the heaven and his faithfulness to the skies
2. His righteousness is stronger than a mighty mountain and his justice deeper than the deepest sea.
3. He protects us in the shadow of his wings
4. He cares for us with the abundance of good things.
5. He lights our path on a dark and stormy night.

Conclusion – (vs. 10-12)

Those evildoers who refuse to turn from their ways will lie fallen, thrown down and not able to rise.

Those who belong to the Lord will continue to know his steadfast love.  They will be kept from the foot of the proud and the hand of the wicked.
