[:en]Paul addressed the believers in Corinth as mere infants in Christ because they were still taking milk and not ready for solid food. They were worldly because there were jealously and quarreling among themselves. They were divided as to whom they would follow. Paul told them that neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose and each will be rewarded according to his own labor. Paul was God’s fellow workers and the believers were God’s field and God’s building. (vs. 7-9)
Each one should be careful how he builds his foundation. His work will be revealed with fire and the fire will test the quality of his work. (vs. 12-14)
“Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred, and you are that temple.[:]
