Biblical Truth: Upon arriving at Capernaum, the collector of the 2 drachma tax come to Peter and asked: Doesn’t your teacher pay the temple tax? Jesus knew that he was supposed to be exempted. but to avoid being condemned by his critics and provoke an incident, he chose to pay the tax.
Personal Application: Christians are expected to be good citizens. We are to pay our taxes honestly and willingly.
