[:en]Thoughts from Psalm 144[:]

[:en]As God trained David’s hands for war and his fingers for battle, David considered God his rock (v. 1), his fortress, stronghold, deliverer and shield (v. 2).  He was grateful that God had cared for him. (v. 3) as He parted heavens, touch the mountains, sent forth lightnings, scatter and shoot the enemies and reach down to rescue him from the mighty waters and hands of foreigners (vs. 5-8)  Then he sang praises to the Lord because of his help (v. 9)

‘O LORD, WHAT IS MAN THAT YOU CARE FOR HIM, THE SON OF MAN THAT YOU THINK OF HIM?  MAN IS LIKE BREATH, HIS DAYS ARE LIKE FLEETING SHADOWS” (vs. 3-4).

God thinks of us because He loves us.  He wants us to fulfill His purpose of creating us – that is to glorify Him.[:]
