[:en]PE (vs. 129-136)

His statutes are wonderful (v. 129) because it gives light and understanding (v. 130)  His commands direct our footsteps against sin.  His face will shine upon those who obey His precepts and decrees (v. 139)  But those who disobeyed His law will be sorrowful.

TSADHE (vs. 137-144)

The word “righteous” is the key word of this section.  His laws and statutes are righteous and fully trustworthy (v. 138)  His righteousness is everlasting (v. 142) and His statutes are forever right (v. 144).  We can only succeed if we has His righteousness in us.

QOPH (vs. 145-152)

Calling on God to help, the palmist put his hope in the word of God. (vs. 147).  He stayed awake to meditate on the promises of God (v. 148).

Use the Bible as a key to open and clock your day.

RESH (vs. 153-160)

With great suffering, the psalmist pleaded with God.  “Defend my cause and redeem me.  Preserve my life according to your promise” (v. 154).

SIN AND SHIN (vs. 161-168)

How did the Psalmist faced persecution?

  1. Rejoice in his promises (v. 162)
  2. Love His law (v. 163)
  3. Praise Him (v. 164)
  4. Wait for the Lord and follow his command (v. 166)
  5. Love his statutes and obey them (v. 167)

Those who love His law can have great peace (v. 165)

TAW (vs. 169-176)

Pray to understand God’s word (v. 169).  Believe in God’s promises (v. 170).  Sing songs of praise (v. 171-172)  and be a witness of his word (v. 175)
