[:en]Thoughts from Romans 2[:]

[:en]You have no excuse to pass judgment on someone else (v. 2) because you will not escape God’s judgment (v. 3).  For God will give to each person according to what he has done (v. 6).  It is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous (v. 13) because God’s kindness leads us toward repentance (v. 4)

The law that the Jews relied could not save them.  External rituals and outward showing without internal change are useless.  Circumcision has value only if the law is observed. A truly circumcised man is whose heart is being circumcised by the Spirit and not by the written code (v. 29)

Paul did not teach salvation by work but rather works that prove salvation (vs. 5-11).  Be a doer of the law.  Walk your talk (vs. 17-24) for God judges truthfully, fairly and without favoritism (v. 11)  Are you prepared for God’s judgment?[:]
