[:en]Paul was struggling with good and evil. The inner being delights in God’s law but another law is making him a prisoner of law of sin. He revealed that in his mind, he was a slave to God’s law but in his sinful nature, a slave to the law of sin. (v. 23). No wonder he said: “I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do, I do not do, but what I hate, I do” (v. 15) “For I have the desire to do what is good but I cannot carry it out. For what I do is not the good I want to do; no, the will I do not want to to – this I keep on doing. Now if I do what I do not want to do,m it is no longer I who do it, but it is sin living in me that does it” (vs. 17-20).
Let us ask the Holy Spirit to help us do His will[:]
