[:en]God pronounced judgment against Babylon. It was Lucifer, the morning star, son of the dawn, who was responsible for the evil system of Babylon. Lucifer was an angel who rebelled against God and wanted to ascend to heaven and raise his throne above the stars of God. He wanted to sit enthroned on the mount of assembly on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain. He wanted to ascend above the tops of the clouds and make himself like the Most High. (vs. 12-14)
Man has played into the hands of the evil one when he considers himself his own god, and exalt himself above God. The approach of Christ is totally different from Satan’s approach. “Christ humbled himself and made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant , being made in human likeness, and being found in appearance as a man, and become obedient to death even death on the cross!” (Phil. 2:6-8)
The end result of Satan was being brought down to the grave, to the depths of the pit (Isa, 14:15) while Christ was exalted to the highest place (Phil. 2:9)
Let us imitate Jesus Christ and conform to His image.[:]
