[:en]Scripture Reading: Job 25:1-26:14
Biblical Truth: In Job 25, Bildad talked of the power and dominion of God when he said: How much was man, who is but a maggot – a son of man, who is only a worm!” (Job 25:6). Job shared the same view of God’s authority but his problem was that this God he personally trust was not responding to the cry of a faithful one. His belief did not match what he experienced.
Personal Application: In the course of His trial, Job did not understand why he had to suffer. Job felt frustrated, abandoned and hopeless. But he maintained his righteousness and faith in God. And at the end, God made him prosperous and gave him twice as much as he had before (v. 10). Similarly, perhaps you are undergoing suffering with many questions unanswered. You may not understand “why”. But if you stay faithful and live a holy life, He will surely bless you.
Prayer: Dear Lord, I may not understand your purpose for all humanity, but I will trust in you and remain loyal to you.
