[:en]Scripture Reading: Psalms 130
Biblical Truth: In ancient Israel, a Levite who was assigned to night watch at the temple must wait for the arrival of morning light. Daybreak was a reminder of God’s faithfulness, blessings and love to His people. It was seen as times of hope and new beginnings, a period of restoration and beauty and end of sorrow and darkness. The Psalmist in Psalms 130 waited for the Lord more than watchers waiting for the morning. He put his hope in the Lord because of His unfailing love and full redemption (v. 7)
Personal Application: When you are in a season of pain and sorrow, when you feel helpless and fearful, place your hope in God. Rest your anxious heart on His Word.
Prayer: Dear Jesus, teach me to wait patiently to your time and put my hope in You.[:]
