Biblical Truth: Job’s friend Zophar falsely assumed that Job was evil and a hypocrite. Zophar was correct about the final heritage of the wicked but he was wrong in directing it against Job.
Personal Application: Punishment of sinners may not happen in this lifetime. Because of God’s amazing grace and mercy, he longs the wicked to repent and turn from their evil ways. But we can be sure that they will be punished in the final judgment. So, do not envy the success and prosperity of the wicked because God’s final judgment and punishment of evil is certain.
Prayer: Thank you Lord for being a just God who will one day cut off all evil.[:]
