[:en]Thoughts from Ezekiel 8[:]

[:en]God told Ezekiel to look at the idolatry in the temple with detestable things that the people were doing:

  1. At the entrance of the court from a hole in the wall – 70 elders of the house of Israel and Jaazaiah, son of Shaphan was standing among them.  Each had a censer in his hand, and a fragrant cloud of incense offering to all the idols (vs. 9-10)
  2. At the entrance to the north fate of the house of the Lord – Women were sitting there mourning for Tammuz (v. 14)
  3. In the inner court of the house of the Lord at the entrance of the temple between the portico and the altar – 25 men with their back towards the temple of the Lord and their faces toward the east, bowing down to the sun in the east. (v. 16)

Therefore, the Lord will deal with them in anger and without pity (v. 18)[:]
