[:en]Thoughts from Jeremiah 21[:]

[:en]Jeremiah delivered a message to Zedekiah, king of Judah that God was going to fight against him. (v. 3)  Then, he asked the people to choose between the way of life and death.  Those who surrendered to Babylon will live but those who stayed in the city will die by sword, famine or plague (vs. 8-10)  Finally, he spoke to the royal house of Judah to administer Justice from the hand of his oppressor (vs. 11-12)

Jeremiah was a preacher who was not popular during his time.  But he delivered God’s word faithfully.  May those who are ministers of God seek not for popularity but for faithful service in His work.
