[:en]God sent message to the exiles to build houses,settle down, live a normal life and seek peace and prosperity of the city. After 70 years had completed, God will fulfill His gracious promise to bring them back. Ahab and Zedekiah, who prophesised lies to the people were put to death by the king of Babylon.
Shemaiah sent message to Zephaniah that God had appointed him in place of Jehoiada to be in charge of the house of the Lord (vs. 25-26) God punished him and his descendants because he preached rebellion (vs. 29-31)
This is the promise of God to you:
“For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart” (vs. 11-13)
