[:en]The king of Babylon Nebuchadnezzar marched against Jerusalem and laid seize to it.  He slaughtered Zedekiah’s sons before his eyes and killed all the nobles of Judah.  He captured Zedekiah, blinded him, bound him with bronze shackles and took him to Babylon (vs. 1-7).  King Nebuchadnezzar ordered Jeremiah to be taken out the the courtyard of the guard..  And God asked Jeremiah to tell Ebed-Melech that he will be saved because he trusted the Lord.
