Biblical Truth: Psalms 135 is a joyous and exuberant song to God. The word “praise” is repeated 11 times. We praise God for His goodness (v. 3), His greatness (v. 5), His wisdom (v. 9) and His compassion (v. 14)
Personal Application: The Lord that we worship has the power to satisfy our needs and heal our loneliness. The idols that man made have mouths but cannot speak, eyes but cannot see, ears but cannot hear (vs. 16-17). Therefore, do not look to idols, to earthly things or to people. They can never fill your emptiness. Look to the God who created the universe. He is the only one who can create meaning and beauty out of your life.
Prayer: Lord, you are my everything. I can find peace and comfort and satisfaction only in YOU![:]
