[:en]Can animals capable of jealousy? Professor Christine Harris experimented it by asking dog owners to show affection to a stuffed dog in the presence of their dog. She found that 3/4 of the dogs responded with apparent envy. Some tried to get attention of touch or a gentle nudge. Other tried to push between their owner and the toy. A few went so far as to snap at the stuffed dog. Dog’s jealousy may seem hear warming, but in people, it can lead to hear breaking.
Paul wrote to the church at Corinth that he was jealous for them with a godly jealousy/ (2 Cor. 11:2). He did not want them to be led astray from their sincer and pure devotion to Christ/ (v. 3) Such jealousy reflects the heart of God who said: I, the Lord your God am a jealous God” (ex. 20:5)
