[:en]Israel had not returned to God (vs. 6, 8, 9, 10, 11) So God disciplined them by means of famine (v. 6), drought (v. 7), locust (v. 9), plagues (v. 10) and war (v. 11). The people lived in luxury (vs. 1-3). They brought sacrifices,, tithes, thanks offering and freewill offering, but they oppressed the poor and crush the needy(vs. 4). So God told them to prepare to meet Him. (v. 12)
