[:en]The administrators and satraps tried to find grounds for charges against Daniel but found nothing. So they had agreed that the king should issue an edit and enforce the decree that anyone who prays to any god or man during the next 30 days except to the king shall be thrown into the lion’s den.
When Daniel learned of the decree, he continually prayed 3 times a day. When the men found Daniel praying, they went to report to the king. So the king brought Daniel and threw him into the lion
s den. But the Lord sent his angels and hut the mouth of the lions and protected him from harm.
At the first light of dawn, the king got up and hurried to the lion’s den and call to Daniel. The king was overjoyed to see Daniel alive. He gave orders to lift Daniel out of the den and brought all the men who had falsely accused Daniel to be thrown into the lion’s den. The king issued a decree that all people in his kingdom must fear and reverence the God of Daniel.[:]
