Biblical Truth: Revelation is a book replete with symbols and Hebrew numerology. 12 is the number of completeness. 1000 is the number signifying infinity. 7 is the perfect number, while 6 is that which aspires to perfection but always falls short. Thus 777 is an apt description of the false messiah – the beast – who constantly seeks to appropriate perfection but always fails. The number 144,000 is another symbol for the church, a huge and finally complete group.
For those churches that have endured, they will reign with their Messiah and sing a song of victory. Their songs will be songs of hope as it was composed during their state of suffering and oppression. Let us all sing songs of worship, songs of joy, songs of praise, songs of thanksgiving and songs of hope.
