[:en]Thoughts from Genesis 11[:]

[:en]The whole world had only one language and a common speech.  The men wanted to build themselves a city with a tower that will reach to the heavens so that they may make a name for themselves and not be scattered over the face of the whole earth.  But the Lord saw what they were doing.  So He  confused their language and frustrated their plan.  When they could no longer understand each other, they stopped building the city.  That is why it was called Babel – because there the Lord confused the language of the whole world and scattered them over the face of the whole earth.
