[:en]Thoughts from Genesis 26[:]

[:en]When there was a famine, Isaac went  to Abimelech, king of the Philistines in Gerar.  He lied that Rebekah was his sister for fear of his life.  When Abimelech knew about it, he gave orders not to molest Isaac or his wife.

God blessed Isaac and he became very wealthy.  The Philistines were envious, so Abemelech told Issac to move away.   Sometime later, Abimelech came with Ahuzzah his personal adviser and Phicol, the commander of his forces to make a peace treaty with Isaac.

When Esau was 40 years old, he married 2 Hittites, Judith and Basemath.  They were a source of grief to Isaac and Rebekah.[:]
